In a Java GUI application that is NOT an applet- how can I make a simple animation of an image moving across the screen? I am looking for short and simple code that I can easily understand.

this is what i got when trying to log on its never done this before.ive redownloaded java and checked for updates and played as undefined.undefined laggs.just how do i create a new directory using vista.

When entering the site and choosing between high-detail/low-detail also select Unsigned Applet Using Default

what do you mean by unistall runescape?
ok i tried it and it doesnt work...how to i run as administrator? do i right click on enternet explorer and run as administrator?will it change any setting on my computer if i do this?
srry i only tried makeing the directory i havent tried unistalling runescape- but how to i exactly unistall runescape?

Scripting and java are enabled under.. internet options->security->custom... but i still keep getting messages that say javascript is turned off or i have an old version then when i go to the website to go try and download it it wont let me i click on the link but nothing happend then i tryed something called download manually i think but it starts off but then i get and eroor message saying internet explorer was unable to open this internet site.the request site is either unavailabe or cannot be found.please try again later

i on runescape and then choose a world then the server comes were u log onto runescape right but instead its a black screen and massage comes up it says"java runtime enviroment cannot be loaded or several java virtual machines running in the same process cuased an error" I alraedy played runescape before and it worked properly then i updated the internet to internet 7 and suddenly runescape deosnt work so plzz help.

i am making a small and simple java application to mimic a bank account program on a small scale. rite now it has the following methods: create an account- deposit money- withdraw money.
what other actions can i add to the application? please do not suggest something that only professionals can do and that requires a lot of experience. i am still at high school and pretty new to programming.

actually i m trying to make an aquarium using java.....
background image does not flicker....but the fishes moving around flicker....i have used MediaTracker------Double Buffering ...
but still flickering is there ................
